Located 60 miles north of Elko on Wildhorse Reservoir, Nevada Blue Outdoor Adventures provides you with the base camp for all types of recreational activities including fishing, hunting, atv riding, snowmobile adventures and just plain relaxing.
Fishing is a popular activity while visiting the area. Wildhorse Reservoir is stocked with large rainbow and brown trout as well as yellow perch, small mouth bass, and wipers. During the spring and early summer months, exceptionally large catfish are pulled from the lake.
For those interested in trophy trout fishing, Billy Shaw, Mountain View and Sheep Creek Reservoir on the Duck Valley Indian Reservation are only a few miles away.
For many fishermen, winter is a favorite time. Wildhorse routinely has over 30 inches of safe ice for ice fishing. There is nothing like a blue sky day with cold temps and big fish coming through the ice.
Spring, with ice off is a hot time for catching big fish. The spawn begins as the water warms and the fish are not only hungry but aggressive too. This is also a time when people catch big channel cats near the inlets of the various warm creeks and hot springs near the lake.
Summer fishmen, either in boats or just lazing on the banks is a great way to while away a morning.
Hunters, Wildhorse Reservoir and Nevada Blue Outdoor Adventures is right on the edge of both areas six and seven. Deer, elk, antelope and upland game birds are prevalent in the area.
HUNTERS:The draw has been made and there are dates available at my cabins. You need to act quickly to book your prime hunting dates. Wildhorse sits on the edges of both area 6 and area 7.

Need a getaway? This is just the place for you. Relax, stay up late and get up at the "crack of 10:00". Have a relaxed brunch and take a little tour of the countryside in your vehicle. Maybe sitting by the fire with a good book is what you are looking for. Look out the window and watch it snow. Can you smell the (fill in the blank) laced with garlic cooking in the oven? Doesn't get much better than this.
