While there is a nice kitchen to cook in and dining area to eat at, if you don't feel like cooking during your stay, a cook can be contracted separately to provide you with excellent food service.kitchen

This house was built by four gentlemen from California in the late 1970's.  They used it primarily as a fishing camp for the next 30 or so years.  They were also private pilots, and there are pictures in the Coop of planes parked in front. These guys were real characters, and it was they who named it the "Super Chicken Coop".  When I acquired it, it was under the stipulation that I got everything.  The sole surviving member informed me that he was never coming back and all was mine.  To make a long story short, my dump load made it in a 28 foot stock trailer and weighed in at a little over 4,000 lbs.  Yes, I hauled two tons of stuff out of there.  During this process of mucking out the place, I got a real feel for who these guys were.  They all had overactive senses of humor, and they did like to party.  I thought about changing the name, but I just couldn't do it.  In a way, the place is still an ode to them.  I wanted to retain some of their character and and add a little of my own.  It may look a little rough from the outside but once you come in the door.........
